Lucca Trailers is a leading supplier of a wide range of trailers for the New Zealand market. We build/assemble and sell the trailers at our East Tamaki location and due to expansion, we are looking for several stand-out trailer assembly staff.
Are you a mechanically-minded, hands-on assembly worker wanting to work with a fast-growing business? Good rates of pay and scope to grow.
Staff have started in this role and now workshop team leaders or been trained and moved to other organisations with good training and career progression.
This role can lead to roles running the workshop, welding and building local trailers, sales or stay as is.
We are happy and want to provide both internal and external training that staff want.
Forklift license would be good – or we are happy to train and send you to the appropriate courses.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role and will suit someone who likes to work as part of a team and is highly motivated.
We need a team player and that will do all tasks required and a can-do attitude.
Some experience in electrical wiring would be a bonus. Ideally you will also have experience in a workshop environment.
HOWEVER GOOD WORK EHTHIC AND ATTITUDE IS MOST VALUED AS MY TEAM CAN TRAIN YOU.
Experienced tig and sticker welder – ticket holder would be an advantage but not necessary.
We are looking at training some staff in a welding both as apprenticeship and completing repairs.
Plenty of scope for growth
Hours are to be agreed with opening hours being 7.30am until 4.30pm.
This can be a 45 hour a week role – with Saturday work if wanted.
We can provide flexible hours if required to suit prospective employees – for example a 6.30am start and 3.30pm to beat traffic.
Key parts of the role
- Assemble trailers as per production plan or as directed to the agreed quality standard – we have about 14 models of trailers to assemble so there’s plenty to learn
- Advise any quality issues to the Workshop Team Leader
- You may be asked organise WoF’s for trailers
- Assist customers as and when required with handovers, customer enquiries, walk-ins and general phone enquiries (as we are small team)
- Assist with the unloading/devanning of containers as required – we do 4 to 5 of these per month
- You will be trained on electrical brakes and hydraulics
- Forklift work – once trained
- Maintain a safe and tidy work area
- Assist the workshop team leader as required
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements
- Any other reasonable duties as directed
